Who doesn’t love to argue? To be able to speak your mind and convey your convictions. Every argument we engage in, could make us to feel like Nelson Mandela.
Arguments are part of life, we are always bound to involved in a verbal brawl once a while. The circumstances leading up to an arguments varies.
The results of argument also varies. You can get beaten up after an argument, you can have a serious fight with your partner after an argument, you can also have this fulfilled “put them in their place” feeling after an argument.
But do you that you they are health benefits of arguing? That’s what you will be seeing today. So head down to find out!

 

Health Benefits of Arguing

  I know that health benefits of arguing sounds strange to you. Because you could feel that health mainly involves physical health. Well arguing doesn’t cure cancer or AIDS, it benefits our mental health more.
Specifically the health benefits of arguing are more applicable to interpersonal relationships. Now let’s get down to business.

First, Arguing reduces cortisol level in your body. Cortisol is a hormone in the body, a stress hormone. Cortisol , when released would increase blood sugar and stress levels. Engaging in argument will decrease the cortisol level.

 

Secondly, let me ask you, how do you feel after you just avoided an argument that you could have used to let out your mind? Answer : You’d feel worse.
But on the contrary if you engaged in the argument and voiced out all your thoughts you should feel much better.
Arguing improves our mood and enhances our mental health.

Thirdly, couples who avoided verbal confrontation lived shorter lives compared to those who let it out. I think this study is right. If you keep bottling up all your problems from your loved one, you will hardly be in a bright mood.
Couples who argue love each other more and are more intimate.
Avoiding argument will lead to aches, pain and lingering emotions.

Lastly, engaging in academic or intelligent arguments will increase your brain power. You are indirectly exercising your brain. Thinking of something and voicing it out fast.
You see arguing has amazing health benefits.

Before I conclude. Note that its not all argument that are applicable. I would like us to know the type of argument that has health benefits.

 

What types of argument give do you benefit from
They are two types of arguments. Deductive and Inductive argument. I tried to understand it but it sounded like further maths. So let me give my own types of arguments that are slightly based on scenarios. Arguments that are healthy;

* Arguments that involves you speaking something that is eating out your conscience.

* Arguments that you involves you voicing out your beliefs and convictions.

* Arguments that will you will dream about, if you avoid them.

* Intelligent academic arguments.

Arguments that don’t have health benefits:

* Arguings  with someone that behaves like a hyena, a dog or a gorilla.

* Arguments that you have 60% chance of you getting beaten or abused.

* Arguments that you are not sure of what to speak about.
