I totally create to-do lists to feel accomplished! There is nothing better than checking or crossing off something on a list. It may be psychological, but it works for me and makes me feel like I am getting something done!
At times I’ve been so busy that I’ve thought “I don’t even have time to do a to-do list”. But, as you say in your post, after sitting down and writing the list I’ve felt more focused and able to prioritize.
What I find works even better is to write the list for the next day so that when you start working you already know what needs to be done.
